A Question Mark around the pencil

Not sure what to draw these days. I haven't had much energy due to the weather and dealing with my chronic illness. When I do have the energy, I seem to be once again gravitating towards the plastic fruit and vegetables, specifically the pumpkins. There's some thing about the shape, color and texture that I find fascinating. Also, when I draw them, they sometimes come out crooked and out of proportion.

I did go through a phase where I was drawing action figure robots.  I may resume drawing them, as they seem to fascinate me like the plastic vegetables do.

Pepper Struggle

Sketches of plastic veggies
Been struggling trying to keep interested in these plastic pumpkins and peppers. I've rediscovered my hands and the occasional toy car to draw.  I'm trying to navigate my way around.
Sometimes it isn't enough. The time change isn't really helping nor is the chronic pain.

6B drawing pencil
I've found sometimes drawing is a brief escape as is reading. However, I will not draw with my graphite pencils, instead I've been drawing sometimes with regular 2 HB writing pencils...gasp!

HB2 Pencil usually used for writing

Oh those crazy odd shaped veggies.....

The drawing saga continues....

Pencil Peppers and then some...

Pepper sketch in pencil
I haven't been drawing my plastic vegetables as much, which I have to get back to.  Drawing I find, keeps me somewhat distracted from my chronic pain issues. I've always liked drawing pumpkins, especially the slanted ones and my small collection of action figure robots. I'll have to return to these in order to keep myself entertained.

Robots and Charcoal, Part I

Drawing plastic fruits and vegetables can get boring. I've been neglecting the pumpkin drawing I was working on in favor of animation instead.

Recently, I've discovered drawing in charcoal pencil and have found a subject much more interesting to draw than food.

I have a collection of small zbots action figures from the 1990's which I collected in elementary school. To my surprise, I really enjoyed drawing these little guys. I've always been a fan of science fiction and fantasy for decades and relived parts of my childhood when I pulled these out of my closet. These are way better than drawing flowers too.

Pumpkins part III

Been trying for months to finish these pumpkin drawings. It's been a struggle because concentration can be a challenge when I'm also dealing with head issues.  I've been able to do some animation for fun and I find it's a nice distraction for a small moment of time from my shunt issues. The cold weather isn't helping....

Pumpkins Part 1

I've rediscovered plastic pumpkins, peppers, oil pastels and colored pencils. Going to add more to the new ''pumpkin leave thing'' I've created. Keeping track of my progress with drawings/paintings:

Part 1.  Water color pencil pumpkin with leaves
Part 2. Water color pencils with added water and chalk.

Crop of finished pumpkin combination thing with watercolor, ink and oils. Done last month.
