Robots and Charcoal, Part I

Drawing plastic fruits and vegetables can get boring. I've been neglecting the pumpkin drawing I was working on in favor of animation instead.

Recently, I've discovered drawing in charcoal pencil and have found a subject much more interesting to draw than food.

I have a collection of small zbots action figures from the 1990's which I collected in elementary school. To my surprise, I really enjoyed drawing these little guys. I've always been a fan of science fiction and fantasy for decades and relived parts of my childhood when I pulled these out of my closet. These are way better than drawing flowers too.

Pumpkins part III

Been trying for months to finish these pumpkin drawings. It's been a struggle because concentration can be a challenge when I'm also dealing with head issues.  I've been able to do some animation for fun and I find it's a nice distraction for a small moment of time from my shunt issues. The cold weather isn't helping....

Pumpkins Part 1

I've rediscovered plastic pumpkins, peppers, oil pastels and colored pencils. Going to add more to the new ''pumpkin leave thing'' I've created. Keeping track of my progress with drawings/paintings:

Part 1.  Water color pencil pumpkin with leaves
Part 2. Water color pencils with added water and chalk.

Crop of finished pumpkin combination thing with watercolor, ink and oils. Done last month.

Toy Mouse

Mouse Sketch # 1
Mouse Sketch # 2
I've discovered my cat's toy mouse as a good drawing subject.

It's a good distraction from the scalp/shunt pain issues I've been having with the changes in the weather. The pain has made it harder for me to resume working on my books.

From Mini Sketchbook

A small collection of drawings from my tiny sketchbook. Some of the assignments in this book are random things to draw, which I enjoy as it keeps things interesting and gives me a variety of subjects to choose from.  It's also better than drawing plastic fruits and vegetables.

Pencil Drawings with Four Legs

Inked drawing of dog with color
I'm sorting through paper, storyboards, pencils, screenplays and a homemade wooden pegboard.

These are drawings and art from a book I recently finished.  I've enjoyed drawing animals outside, using photographs or the occasional visit to a local animal conservatory.

It's fun to dress up these characters and include how they would respond to being in a  costume. Some will enjoy this, while others will question their appearance as seen in the dog to the left.
